We enjoy the deep blue of the Mediterranean and the play of the green contrast of the Taurus Mountains. The Lycian Way is an original trade route that connects many cities in ancient times. We will not only enjoy nature and the sea on our hiking trip, but will often experience the feeling of the people of ancient times up close on these paths. Away from mass tourism on the Mediterranean, our hiking trip follows in the traditional inland, where we can discover the true rural lifestyle of local tradition and everyday life. Sometimes we try a botanical tea with a nomad, sometimes we will enjoy a "Gözleme" flatbread and herbs. The very well-preserved ancient cities with Theatre, Odeion and Temples impress us in their idyllic surroundings. During short hikes, we discover fortresses from the Middle Ages and sanded Roman excavations with huge columned streets and baths. We will stay in family-run small hotels during the trip. The food is prepared by our hotelier according to typical Turkish cuisine, the rich selection will spoil you every day with delicious local dishes. Simply everything of the best to prepare an unforgettable travel experience for them. This hiking trip is an experience combination of nature, antiquity and many impressions of the rural lifestyle as well with many opportunities for swimming on the Mediterranean.

Day 1 Saturday: Welcome to Turkey
Arrival at Dalaman Airport and transfer to your hotel near Ölüdeniz. Your hiking guide welcomes you and informs you in detail about the course of the hiking week. After check-in at the small family hotel, we welcome other group members to a nice conversation. In the evening we enjoy the rich Turkish cuisine. Welcome cocktail and dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 Sunday: Ölüdeniz - Kayaköy
The highlight today is Livissi (Kayaköy). After a delicious "simit" pastry and fresh sheep cheese and a rich selection at breakfast, we start our first hike from Ölüdeniz, the "Blue Lagoon" bay to Kayaköy. The first stage of the hike leads through dense forest with a slight pine scent. The beautiful path leads us through an easy staircase until we suddenly rise to a truly abandoned "ghost town" of the original city called Karymlassos or later Livissi by walking through the small village of Kayaköy, over 3000 abandoned houses, two churches, several chapels, a customs building and a fountain have survived and tell us your story. After a tour of the city, we then take our small bus to Fethiye. After half an hour we reach Amintas rock tomb in Fethiye and then take a stroll through the village. We stroll through the fish market and the bazaar until we finally land at an ice cream parlour.

Day 3 Monday: Free day for recreation, or optional tour to Kabak
This time we have a short hike from Faralya to Kabak. The small village of Kabak is located in a fantastic bay. We don't have it far to the sea, where we are experiencing a somewhat lazy day today. Here you can enjoy an optimal bathing opportunity on Kabak beach. In the afternoon, the small bus takes us back to our pretty bungalow hotel.

Day 4 Tuesday: Kas - Aperlae - Sunken city near Kekova
Today we take our luggage with us after breakfast and drive along the fantastic coast to Kas. Here we build a little break in between and take a city walk in this typical Mediterranean town. A little stroll through the village is worthwhile. Our small transfer bus now takes us to Sahilkilinçli, where we reach the starting point for our hike. From here we follow the Lycian path again until we reach a dreamlike bay. The rarely visited ancient city of Aperlae welcomes us here, with its city walls and numerous sarcophagus tombs. After a short break, we follow the marked path until we appear in the opposite book at a beach hut. Here we take a small snack some fried potato and fresh salad from a nomad (Ramazan) is our reinforcement end of the hike. Our boat is also waiting for us here and drives to the front door of our hotel, where we spend the next two nights.

Day 5 Wednesday: Simena Fortress
We start the day comfortably, also this morning. In this quiet bay there is pure silence. After a cozy breakfast, we start our hike after a short bus transfer and follow the coast and then a dry creek bed. Our hiking route leads us only to the Simena fortress on a hilltop. From up here we marvel at a bizarre landscape, we overlook Kekova Island and numerous bays such as Üçagiz (Teimussa). We stroll through the tiny village down to the sarcophagus grave in the water. In the afternoon there will be another big attraction, we will be picked up directly from here and drive our boat along the sunken city near Kekova Island. Lunch would also take place on the boat. Of course, we also build a nice bathing break at a cheap bay. Our captain, finds a beautiful bay where we install an extensive bathing break.

Day 6 Thursday: Yesilköy - Akbel - Gelemis (Patara)
After an extensive breakfast on the terrace of the hotel, close to the sea, we drive for our hike towards Kinik today and start at Akbel on an ancient waterway. The aqueducts offer a very comfortable hike with a small height difference. Almost a third of the hike leads on the water channel of the Lycians. For lunch, we stop at Gelemis and enjoy the delicious mezees and appetisers with fine olive oil. After the hike, we will take a detailed tour of the ancient city of Patara for about 2 hours. The theatre, bouleterion, columned street, bath, basilica and many tombs are very impressive features of this former port city of the Lycians. Of course, we are setting up a bathing break here at Caretta Caretta beach, if you want, you can relax here on the fine sandy beach. Our hotel is also not far from here, in the small village of Gelemis.

Day 7 Friday: Ovacik - Kirme - Faralya
After fortating ourselves at breakfast, today we start our hike in Ovacik, at the official starting point of the Lycian Way. After a bus transfer, our slightly demanding hike on the Lycian Way follows first through Kirme, then to Faralya. We will climb from 330 meters to 830 meters. Today comes the impressive landscape on the Lycian Path. We will experience one of the most beautiful panoramic landscapes today during this hike. Once we arrive at the Kirme village, we taste a Gözleme with Ayran (yoghurt drink). After we recharge some energy here, it's not far to Faralya

Day 8 Saturday: Goodbye
After the last breakfast together, we say goodbye to our hiking group and hiking guide. According to the departure time, we have about half an hour transfer to the airport. We say a good flight home and goodbye (Güle Güle), until the next hiking trip with us.
